This empowers agencies to identify
documentation that does not comply
with PPS and other regulations and
validates that key patient
information is consistent with
defined care standards.
Features include:
• Physician Orders
• Assessment and Care Standards
Library
• Assessment and Care Plan Builder
• Outcomes Measurement and
Analysis
Point
of Care
Hanu Point of Care module is a
simple-to-use, yet comprehensive
vehicle for accessing and
documenting patient records in the
field. Using laptops or tablet
devices, Point of Care module
enables clinicians to quickly chart
assessments, validate and analyze
OASIS data, create notes, generate
supply orders and check for drug
interactions. The module includes a
comprehensive standard library of
configurable assessments and care
plans for most common diagnoses and
problems, as well as optional,
licensed critical pathways. Point of
Care also facilitates
interdisciplinary coordination and
access to patient clinical
documentation from prior episodes.
Field
Synchronization
Windows-based laptop, tablet and
Pocket PC devices automatically
exchange clinical & schedule
information with the office-based
Hanu server. When a connection is
established, Microsoft SQL Server
synchronization technology
automatically exchanges patient
record information between the
server and the point of care device.
Even using a low speed dial-up
connection, the synchronization
process takes just a few short
minutes.
Home
Care StepsR Protocols from VNA First
Hanu users have the option of using
Home Care Steps critical pathways
developed by VNA First — which are
seamlessly incorporated in Hanu
clinical documentation. Used by more
than 600 home health agencies, Home
Care Steps Protocols contain 87 home
care pathways for multiple
disciplines. Supported services
include SN, HCA, PT, OT, SLP, MSS,
RT, Dietitian and 6 hospice pathways
for all disciplines, including SN,
Spiritual, MSS, Volunteer
Coordinator, and Volunteer.
OASIS
and Outcomes Analyzer
Hanu OASIS and Outcomes Analyzer
gives agencies flexible tools for
auditing, querying and benchmarking
OASIS and outcomes information.
Analyzer enables clinicians to
rapidly review and correct
assessment responses, benchmark
individual patient records and
aggregate and compare census data to
various reference groups. The module
analyzes real-time OASIS information
to measure utilization, adverse
events, case mix, descriptive
outcomes and other key performance
indicators. Analyzer also enables
agencies to develop and manage
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
programs, investigate hypothetical
scenarios and demonstrate improved
patient outcomes.
Drug
Database
Powered by First Data Bank's
proprietary drug knowledgebase, Hanu
Drug Database module provides
clinicians with comprehensive
pharmacy reference & documentation
tools — including interactions,
severity levels, patient education
forms and more. The module
seamlessly integrates First DataBank
content directly into clinical
workflow. Structured text is
incorporated into key Hanu functions
such as admission, 485
documentation, physician order
entry, assessments, progress notes,
point of care decision support and
patient education.
